Cozy Mt Snow Cabin w Fireplace

Lots of weevils, despite 2 exterminator visits. Not enough towels. Poor lighting and loose scatter rugs, creating fall risk. No room for groceries in cabinets. Beautiful grounds. Lovely view of pond, deer grazing. Poorly arranged furniture in social area. No furniture for nice deck. Would not rent again.

Renter beware. During our stay, the house lost power, leaving us without heat and electricity and there was no generator, no flashlights and no backup plan provided. The owners do not offer refunds in these situations, citing a disclaimer in the listing. Renters should be aware that if power is lost, you are fully responsible for managing without basic utilities. I recommend future guests plan accordingly or consider whether this is acceptable for their stay.

Josephine, I’m genuinely disappointed to see a one‑star review based on a brief, overnight power outage that was completely outside anyone’s control and resolved within a few hours first thing in the morning. As clearly stated in the listing, temporary utility interruptions are not grounds for refunds, as they are managed by the local power company and not something any host can predict or prevent. This would be a more understandable situation if you lost power for longer than a few hours, but it was very promptly restored. You requested a refund “in case it happened again,” even after power had already been fully restored. When that request was declined in accordance with the policies you agreed to, this retaliatory review followed. Future guests should know that the home was fully functional, the outage was short‑lived, and everything was promptly back to normal. I remain committed to providing a great stay for all guests.

What a great little cottage. It is only slightly off the beaten path (if visiting during winter months), but it's equidistant to Mt. Snow and Wilmington. It has many great food options is very private. In the winter, when expecting snow, there is a slight turn and uphill driveway that you have to get up to exit property so either ALL WHEEL drive or studded tires are recommended but we had a AWD XC90 with heavy snow and managed just fine. I definitely would not book this place with a 2-wheel-drive sedan in the winter months where snow is possible. You'll get stuck, which is clearly called out in the listing. Otherwise, we'd definitely stay there again!

Absolute gem and rare find of old rustic charm and secluded getaway. The pictures were spot on and the views were breathtaking. It was the perfect place for a getaway just the two of us 👍

Great location. The house is secluded and quiet with woods and a pond on the property along with great views of the Fall colors. A quick drive on a gravel road leads to the main highway and access to markets, shops, and eating in an around Wilmington.The house itself is very nice inside and out. There were two of us, but, there is plenty of room for a family or group.The photos and listing are accurate. The host is very helpful and quick to respond.

Pros: View, EV charger, proximity to the mt snow, style was cozy. Cons: we usually cook and the stove had a weak burners (took 40 min to get a large pot of water for spaghetti to boil) and the broiler coils in the stove do not work. Also a bit lacking in kitchen supplies- no larger sheet pans or Tupperware were things we noticed. We are also a family of 5 and the layout of both the TV and the fireplace area was a little awkward for us all to have a seat to enjoy either.

The fireplace was great and the surroundings were beautiful! The 2 rooms in the basement/downstairs were a bit cold in the winter and not as nice as the space upstairs. But overall this was a great place to stay with a small family. Very cozy, convenient to Mount Snow, and convenient to restaurants in Wilmington.

For our purposes, the place fell short. Location was great bc we went to ski at Mt. Snow. I was specific that we were planning to cook 3 of the 4 nights there, but the kitchen was lacking. No baking dish, 5 bowls (house sleeps 6). In general, my experience is as a courtesy places have plastic wrap/tinfoil, perhaps to store food once opened or cooked. It’s a kitchen you need to be resourceful in. The electric stove was not functioning optimally. Living room has good features but a bad layout. If traveling there in winter, be aware they have 2 flashlights but no batteries. They only supply tea lights and matches. There is no utility drawer so bringing a Swiss Army knife would be useful. We ended up with very wet boots and I regret not reading the listing more thoroughly. They do not provide a hair dryer. And make sure to bring your own toiletries unless you like strawberry shampoo, there are no green products. Feels very much like a rental property that’s managed.

Our kitchen is stocked with an array of pots, pans, and even a large wok to accommodate different cooking needs. Regarding the utility drawer, we do provide both wine and beer openers, can openers, matches, candles, and equipment for a small outdoor grill, ensuring guests have everything they need for a comfortable stay. Huge thank you to Morgan for hosting us! We booked this place in order to do our engagement photoshoot. The property was exactly as described and photographed beautifully. Space was open, working fireplace was a huge bonus, clean kitchen, huge windows that let the nature in, 3 private bedrooms each that can sleep 2, beautiful property with a little pond. We were very happy with our stay and are so looking forward to getting back our professional photos soon!

My friends and I loved this woodsy cabin! We went on a weekend hiking trip and it was the perfect cozy spot to arrive back to. The all-wood interior makes you feel like you’re in the mountains and the fireplace in the middle of the upstairs was a huge plus. It rained a day we were there and it was beautiful to listen to with the windows up and wonderful to watch against the pond (there’s a view from the porch!). The house was thoughtfully designed and great for staying in, or returning to after a long day on the mountains or exploring the local towns.

Cabin was peaceful and woodsy. The little pond was so gorgeous. Got to see lots of wildlife. Very relaxing. Host was very helpful with instructions and assistance. Great stay! We would love to come back in winter.

Morgan’s cabin was great - priced fairly and exactly as described! The host was extremely helpful and quick to respond. Though most of the reviews and photos speak to this property’s utility as a ski lodge, my family and I were looking for a summer getaway in southern Vermont, which it worked perfectly for as well. The fiber internet & wifi was blazing fast. The EV charger was a great feature as well. I would not hesitate to book here again.
